#LeanCoffeeTO #81 - Going Big in Toronto

Toronto can be a difficult place to launch your startup. With Silicon’s promise of risk culture and high investment, many of our best talent flee the country before they can contribute meaningful mentorship and street cred’ to their Toronto counterparts. Kirk Simpson, CEO of Toronto Startup Wave Accounting has kept an international business headquartered in Canada, and can attest to the struggles of finding mentorship, investment and support to swing for the fences.

Bring your stories, frustrations and experience to the Wave patio, and discuss how to foster a culture of risk and innovation so more companies can go big in Toronto.

    Hi everyone,

I was talking with someone attending this meeting yesterday and he told me about a startup in the research of Life Science that was presented yesterday. What he told me, it was selling report of what scientist are doing in their lab to big pharma.

If you are one of them, I would love to meet and discuss with you about this topic. I had this exact idea of startup while I was working in the biotech field, therefore might have good ideas to bring.
