"Camera Gear - Protecting Your Investment," and "Shooting Panoramas"

  • Jan 5, 2013 · 10:00 AM
  • REI

Greetings, Lensmasters!

Please be sure to mark your calendars for our first meeting of the New Year, scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at our usual location, REI in Tustin.

Come and hear Linda Daugherty share with us her tips for protecting our valuable investment in camera gear. Also, Carlos Chavez will give us tips on how to shoot panorama images. Both of these presentations are sure to give you some great info and inspiration!

Our photo theme for this meeting is: FOOD

Go out and take a photo that best expresses this word from your perspective, and, as always, try and think outside the box. For mat your image as a JPEG file, 800 pixels wide (maximum) and 600 pixels tall (maximum), and don't put your name or any other identifiable information in the file name or on the image.

Email your image to me at [masked] by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 4th. If you can't make that deadline, bring your image with you to the meeting and arrive by 9:45 so that we can get it included in the slideshow prior to the start of the meeting.

As a reminder, we are planning to hold an open house event on Saturday, February 16th. Contact your relatives, friends, neighbors, camera buddies and even complete strangers and invite them to attend our meeting on that date. It'll be a fun way to introduce them to what our club is all about!

Looking forward to an awesome start of a brand new year!

Your humble servant,

Richard Daugherty

It was great. The formal talks were fantastic. The photo critique / table topics was fun as usual. This is a super group combining interest in photography with leadership and public speaking.

I think both speakers made a great speech. They were very clear and extensive in explaining their topics. The length were just right and didn't go on forever. They kept my interest the whole time.
