The topic of discussion will be:
Heuristics and Biases
A segue from last month's discussion, as Hume anticipated many ideas of current cognitive science and psychology.
Are we rational actors or do we mainly use quick-and-dirty rules of thumb to make decisions?
Some questions to ponder:
1. Are heuristics "rational"?
2. Are induction and Ockham's Razor heuristics?
3. Are heuristics innate or learned?

Meet other local amateur Philosophers to discuss the world and what we know about it.
For people who love Ideas....and not only their own.
Not a debating society, but rather a forum for sharing, questioning, examining, reflecting on ideas in a rational, relaxed and non-threatening manner.
We probably wont change the world, but we might change our minds.
