We are an LGBT peer-led discussion and support group dealing with emotional health and wellness. We provide a safe, open and non-judgemental environment encouraging members to listen to each other, share experiences and learn ways to cope, heal and grow. We do this in an atmosphere of welcome, acceptance and empathy. We currently meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at the LGBT Community Center in New York City. We encourage members to talk from our own personal experience. We want the group to be a safe space, so we encourage confidentiality, as much as is humanly and realistically possible. We discuss anxiety, depression, OCD, loneliness, relationship issues, etc. We also meet at a diner about two weeks after the center meeting. The diner is a less formal, more social get-together.
