    Saw the post on Reddit for this meetup and I'm happy to see this is a thing. This would be a fun skill to have. Do you happen to teach how to use a slim jim? My significant other locks her keys in her car about twice a year and it would be great to not have to call AAA each time.

      I'd be interested in this as well. My current lock-out kit is;

      -28" breaker bar (crow bar)
      -5gal paint bucket wooden stir stick
      -4' of coat hanger wire

      So far it's gotten me into 3 cars when the owner was locked out, but a slim jim would probably be way more elegant and alarm the driver less. "You want to do WHAT to my car door???"

      No, we don't do slim jims. This is a locksport club, not a locksmith organization. In fact, part of the code of the group is specifically not to pick locks that we depend on for everyday life. This group is all about solving a good puzzle and learning how to make things more secure. WE do have several auto locks in the library to practice picking, though.
