Making Bump Keys / Pick Gun / Alternate Entry

  • Nov 28, 2012 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We'll make some bump keys for various locks, and some bump hammers that actually work. Brings a little cash for raw materials.

As always, there is a beginner class at 6PM for 30 minutes if you have never picked. Pick sets are available to borrow, and are for sale for $20, cash or charge. The annual membership fee is not required to attend meetups.

Yep. Went home and picked an old lock. Took me 45 min. but I got it. Now to see how long it takes me on the same lock again. Nice group of people. Fun too.

Hello Everyone. My friend and I are looking to see if this is a hobby we would enjoy. We both do computer forensic work, and at conventions, LANfests, and hack-ventions there are always pick tournaments, or rooms where people are working on picking locks. We'd like to get involved. Here is a problem for one of the two of us. Don't get off work until 5

Would there be someone (Bill :-) who would be willing to do some teaching on a Sat or Sun if we come to you. I notice you're a computer guy and you got started the same way we did, on IIe IIc probably trash-80 also. If you're game, we'll take you to lunch wherever you want to go and pay you a fee for your time to get us started with some basics. I'm for sure an in person learner, books and videos don't do it as much for me. I was also looking for a reco on a good kit to get. Places we've looked at buying from
    .lockpickshop.com, bumpmylock.com, http://lockpicksandtools.com, southord.com, .lockpicks.com

    Thanks much

We can work out meeting up over lunch if that's what you'd prefer, but showing up late to the meeting is not a problem. Are you in Columbus?

Also, we sell begginer picksets for $20 at our meetings, but if you're looking to get a bigger set we recommend going to lockpickshop.com. It's where we buy our picks and they're a sponsor.
