New Meetup: April 29: FIJA event in Philly

Announcing a new Meetup for The Montgomery County Libertarian Party Meetup Group!

FIJA event in Philly

Thursday, April 29, 2010
11:45am - 1:45pm
James A. Byrne U.S. Federal District Courthouse
601 Market St, Philadelphia, PA

The role of jurors is to protect private citizens from dangerous government laws and actions. Jurors protect against tyranny by refusing to convict harmless people. We can exercise this power and authority to judge the law as well as the facts every time we serve as jurors. Juries are the last peaceful defense of our liberties.

We're following up on our record-breaking jury rights outreach of April 8th when legendary liberty activist Julian Heicklen and friends stood up to 17 federal and local agents, handing out 120 pamphlets in the process.

Now that we've set a peaceful precedent, you can join us! We need people to pass out literature, hold signs, video tape, take pictures and make notes.

Here's a short video of the April 8th outreach event:

This event is NOT a protest. It is peaceful and we will merely be providing information about the rights of jurors. Only participate if you feel yourself capable of keeping your cool under the kind of pressure seen in the above video.

You can park on in the parking lot on 6th street between Arch and Market streets.
