We are extending an invitation to the membership of the Libertarian Party in this region (New England) to attend a Panel Debate on "Familial DNA Testing and American Civil Liberties"; Saturday, November 12th at 7:00 P.M. in the Auditorium at MassBay's Wellesley Hills campus. It is going to be an electric event, as it was in our Conference I two years ago! Briefly, “familial testing” entails obtaining DNA from the member of an at-large suspect’s family member(s) to implicate the former in criminal activity.
Nationally known proponents and opponents of "Familial DNA Testing" will argue its constitutionality in this panel debate that will be moderated by nationally syndicated radio talk show host, Dan Rea (CBS Radio 1030, "Night Side").
We have set aside 24 complimentary passes for members of the Libertarian Party and their guests who may wish to attend. We are hoping that members of the LP in New England will find this event of interest and relevance, and that you will convey the offer of complimentary passes along to your membership in Massachusetts.
Unfortunately, we could not make online viewing also free. However, we have made it exceedingly inexpensive. The fee for online viewing of the Debate is $25 and allows the viewer to watch in real-time or in delayed broadcasts up to three months after the Conference ends (11/12). To view online, please use the link:
Any member of the LP who wishes to attend the Debate in person must RSVP to Alyssa Zajac via email ([address removed]), or telephone:[masked]-2285.
We look forward to members of the LP participating in this event. Any member of the LP may direct questions to Ms. Zajac.
