Gorge Hike w/Libertarians - 1/2 of Cape Horn Loop

Let's do another Libertarian hike!
This is an easy to moderate & scenic hike where many Peregrine Falcons nest, thus the lower loop is closed off until July. 2 excellent view points of the Gorge in an area that was filmed in the 1st Twilight movie.

Parking is free & only a 25-30 minute drive from I-5 Bridge on the WA side of SR-14.
http://www.portlandhikersfieldguide.org/wiki/Cape_Horn_Loop_Hike

Meet at the FREE Cape Horn parking lot/trailhead at 10:30am, we'll then eat lunch at the 2nd scenic view point where we turn back- 3.5 miles.

Driving Directions:

Take SR 14 east in WA to milepost 26.4 (about 20 miles east of the I-205 bridge). Take a left onto Salmon Falls Road, then an immediate right into the parking area. The trailhead is across the street on Salmon Falls Road. There is a restroom here.

We would love to come out for this but Sundays are a serious Tai Chi day from 10-2pm but a hike AFTER would be great :-)

Seems that there are some issues with part of cape horn being closed due to a private land hiker park service dispute:

I was just going to bed and checking out geocaches in the area. There is a geocache past that tunnel and the cache page notes that the trail there, not sure if it is our intended path, is closed til July 15th.

We can always ab lib something. I am up for adventure if our trail is closed.

The loop with the cache is closed to protect that falcons... we are hiking the non closed loop

I've got a Shiba Inu Club meetup the same day and its the first one so I can't miss it. Next weekend is wide open and I have an idea for a coastal hike.
