When and why did you join the Libertarian Party?

My interest in the Libertarian party was first fueled by the ideas put forth by Ron Paul durring the 2008 election campaign, and then the flames were fuled further by my increasingly losing faith in the polititians in washington that are members of the current 2 partys in power. More recently, I have become increasingly convinced that the problem is not with the 2 party system, or at the very least not the republican's concervative ideology, but a problem with the plutocracy that our society has become thanks to the campaign funding system and the cesorship of the media allong with its predominant left-leaning ideals. Currently, I have a few of my own ideas of how this corruption can be combated, and what I believe to be a realistic means by witch to impliment these ideas that goes beyond simple political activism by providing individuals with something the could actually do. However, I lack the skills and knowledge to put these ideas into motion and would like to discuss them.

My name is Eric Lantz, and I would define myself as a 26 year old denizen of the internet. This has several implications, but most important for this setting it means that I am a firm believer in the market place of ideas this venue provides.
