I have seen mankind continually seek to supplant the supremacy of the Creator, without accepting the awful responsibility that comes with it. Only one man ever submitted perfectly to the sacrifice that role requires. But the Creator has instilled in every one the right, the desire for, and moreover the duty, to attain and be worthy of personal temporal sovereignty, so that all might be free to find Him. Men, however, are short-sighted rather than visionary, self-serving rather than sacrificial, and continually claim the sovereignty of others by force, by law, by institution, by wealth, or by reason of some other perceived merit; for their own personal benefit. Our advocacy for the benefits of sovereignty, yet refusal to accept its demands, trades treasures for trifles, and encourages an unscrupulous few to manipulate and monopolize the source and means of it. It is our duty to be sovereign, and our responsibility to mutually engender its expression. This is why I am a Libertarian.
I've always been active among my family and social circles, hashing out social, political, religious and economic ideas and issues with them. Now I want to take it to the next level and check out the wider world of state and local politics.
