Somewhere around[masked] I became a Libertarian. My conversion was for the wrong reason. I had had a problem with slackers in the Marxist Vision. I found the Libertarian Vision attractive. I also liked the 'Liberty" aspect of Libertarianism. As I grew older, the responsibilities of the Libertarian Vision took hold and I slowly realized that it is the party of Individual Responsibility and Self Restraint. Simultaneously I began to realize that there was no need to worry about slackers because people are naturally industrious and sharing. The real worry is the Calculation Problem (Hayak & Mises). Only the anarchy of a truly Free Market can solve the Calculation Problem. As a paying member of the Libertarian Party I have been erratic because I object to wasting the treasury on postage.
I am in Pendleton, OR and am anxious to meet Libertarians. I just noticed my habeas corpus missing. I suspect a lot of other stuff has been taken as well. I have been anti-war since I was 13, Free Market Since I was ~22.
First Class! Tolerant. Like me, the members have opinions and are always ready to consider opposing views so as to have a better understanding of our relationship with society.
