Thought I'd start a fun discussion. Who are your top ten Presidents of all-time and why?

I'll get it started. However, not my list.
1. John Tyler
2. Grover Cleveland
3. Martin Van Buren
4. Rutherford B. Hayes
5. Chester A. Arthur
6. Warren G. Harding
7. George Washington
8. Jimmy Carter
9. Dwight D. Eisenhower
10. Calvin Coolidge

Mostly because they promoted peace, prosperity and liberty to a greater degree than other Presidents.

From the book Recarving Rushmore by Ivan Eland.

I'm not sure that I could make a list of ten that I actually liked.
I will have to say Jefferson--for being the main writer of the Declaration of Independence and Madison for being the largest promoter of the constitution, and Washington for having the strength of character to lead the nation and to not seek a third term--all deserve some credit. I also would say Millard Fillmore deserves some credit for having the first toilet installed in the white house--it makes him the only president to do something that got shit out of the political arena.

I agree. I had put a list on here myself and took it down because I wasn't even happy with it. Jefferson is number one, no doubt. After that, not sure really.
