Lifedrawingsociety UK was started in 2003 when James Tony Picanco decided to trace his passion for art, back to his childhood. Like most children Tony was one of those who was told that there are better ways to make a living than to spend the rest of your life trying to become an artist. Tony left his home town in Paris and came into London back in the 80’s. Over a period of time he has like most people tried to make a living on being a builder, manager, computer developer and many others on the list. Having made a living he decided to get back to what he would have always wanted to do, draw, sketch, paint and sculpt. While he started life drawing more frequently he realised that there are hundreds of people in the city of London who have given up their most desired hobby of drawing.
We have our sessions at interesting bars across London city, check our calender(below) to find your closest meetup. We also have our new 24/7 permanent space at market street, Bethnal green, where we offer shared office space for artists and designers, yoga, free exhibition space, a library and studio space for our life drawing sessions. One glance at the class and you will find Architects, illustrators, art students, graphic designers and all those who have simply found a new way to relax.
This session happens in a large room above a quiet pub, across Tesco, 100 yards from Bethnal green Station, buses to Liverpool street, west end... The room has got very high ceilings and huge amount of natural Light. When you think it can't get any better it does. Who knows what's next. I suggest you rsvp in time because we will advertise online, press and locally to Tesco's customers. Read more
