A little bit about yourself

Interested in philosophical type discussion. Organised a philosophic discussion group that met weekly for 10 years (1990s). Have meant to form another group for years. I have recently regained the urge to meet others with similar interests. I want to be involved in discussion that goes a little deeper than rugby, politics etc. For the last few months I have been writing (for myself), as a way to clarify and extend what I refer to as my world view. However, as useful as this is, it not the same as sharing and listening to others. I have arrived at, or should I say I am arriving at (an unfinished process) a world view that I am enthusiastic about but realise that it could be wrong. However I like offering it for consideration. In the group I organised in the 90s this is what I advised regarding our contributions. Offer our views for consideration rather than attempt to convince. And the other side of this of course, is to respectfully give consideration to other views offered.

What would you be interested in discussing at these sessions?

Any, for the lack of a better term, philosophical discussion. I am interested in eastern philosophy and have a particular interest in the interface between science and philosophy.
