Linux @ The Java Room

We meet monthly to discuss items of interest to the Linux community. This "birds of a feather" session allows people to meet others who are interested in Linux. There are no formal speakers or presentations, but people often bring demos of either hardware or software to share with the group. We chat amongst ourselves on whatever topic is interesting at that moment. If you have any interest in Linux, please join us!

Nice to see many people. I wish could have a formal presentation sometimes. This would have been the perfect time.
Thanks to all that took part

Very friendly group. I had brought along a micro LCD projector, but someone else brought an HDMI LCD panel, extension cord, etc. to make my display easier.

Lots to see and say with three tables of Linux demos with explanations.

Interesting - I noticed RHEL 7 - the latest - is using kvm (virtual machine) for Windows compatibility. I have to admit I did not realize that you could get from one to the other - like an open window. That will make a big diff. I am sure I am the only idiot who did not realize this small fact - but jic - figured I'd mention it!

Anyone here ever use any memory instrumentation vesides valgrind? Anyone ever looked into AdressSanitizer? I'm trying to build it but it's problematic on an ubuntu VM with one processor.
