I generally enjoyed the presentation on FreeNAS. I have setup, maintained, and used NAS in the past and other iSCSI storage setups with fat IP. If there had been a way to do hands on experience I might have gotten more out of it. I will have to go back through the notes and see if can reproduce some of this.

It's good to see these types of groups popping up. The level seemed aimed more at the beginner level Unix/Linux user, it could have definitely been more technically oriented. All in all the meeting reminded me of the old users groups in Silicon Valley some 15 years ago.
