Hamilton Loomis at the "Beer, Bugs & Blues" Event
This will be Hamilton's last appearance at Willie's Ice House in Jersey Village - he's signed a record contract !
Willie's Grill will extend their restaurant with a large tent, boil up plenty of crawfish (aka Mud-Bugs) spice it up with some Louisiana/Mardi Gras influence and top it off with Hamilton Loomis' energetic rockin-blues music.
Hamilton Loomis: Band will play 6-10pm.
This Galveston native plays his own unique blend of blues, soul, and rock. Loomis brings blues-based American music into the 21st century and redefines it for a contemporary audience.
Loomis was first hooked on music through his parents’ extensive collection of blues, rock, and soul records. Loomis honed his multi-instrumental chops early, learning drums, piano, guitar, bass and harmonica by his early teens, and toured regularly as part of his family’s doo-wop group.
At age sixteen he went backstage to meet Bo Diddley, and before the night was over Loomis was onstage playing alongside the legend. Diddley quickly became a friend, mentor, and supporter. “INNOVATE, DON’T IMITATE”…Diddley’s words inspired Loomis and fueled his desire for originality.
READ ALL - AS THIS MAY AFFECT YOUR CHOICE TO ATTEND....
NO COVER CHARGE.
Tent entrance opens at 5:00pm. Due to Hamilton's popularity, it is recommended you arrive early to get in line BEFORE the tent opens. I plan to get in line about 4:30 if not sooner. They won't allow me to hold tables - people need to be there at the time of seating. I will do my best to snag a couple extra seats but please don't expect me to hold a place for you. You can always stand until seats become available.
You cannot get to the tent from the restaurant. You'll need to come to the SEPARATE entrance on the side of the tent.
There will be a bar area, booths and individual tables around the stage. Table/bar service will be provided in the tent so no need to go to the regular entrance.
Attire/Parking: Dress casual and bring a jacket if weather will be cool since its in a tented area. Free parking.
*No need to RSVP unless you plan to attend.
