Ostara Celebration and Potluck

Spring is finally here in Colorado, and Living Earth invites you to join in a fun celebration of the Spring Equinox. As usual this is an open event so all are welcome. If you're a new member, long-time member, or somewhere in between, Ostara is a wonderful time to shake off the winter darkness, connect with old friends and new, and celebrate!

Date: Sunday, March 17
Time: 4-7 pm (ritual at 4 pm UPDATE: Due to so many late arrivals last Sabbat, we are going to open the doors at 4pm, and give people plenty of time to arrive. The ritual will begin promptly at 4:30, and the doors will be locked at that time. Please wait quietly outside if you arrive after 4:30 until the doors are opened right after ritual is over, approximately 5:15pm. Please help us maintain sacred space by arriving well before ritual starts.)

We'll have a potluck dinner starting after ritual which as usual should be a fantastic feast with plenty of fellowship.

Kids aged 0-99 will enjoy Ostara-themed activities like egg dyeing and an egg hunt. This will be a family-friendly INDOOR event. Please bring hard boiled eggs if you are able, for these festivities!

This celebration is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Suggested donation $5.

Welcome to Springtime!

My roommate and I will bring a pasta salad :)
I am a little confused on the scheduling, though... Roomie has to go to work afterwards, so approximately what time are you anticipating things wrapping up? It's ritual then potluck?
I'm sure I'll look at this post when I am more awake and smack myself >_>

Hi Jyoti, Ritual starts at 4:30 sharp, doors open at 4:00. The potluck will start betwee 5:00 and 5:30. After Ritual, you can come and go as you may.

What should we bring to the potluck? Is the potluck dish decided by birth month again ?

    March 10, 2013

    • Joy

For the larger potlucks we tend to suggest potluck items by birth month or some other category to help make sure we have enough of everything. I figured Ostara is usually smaller, so whatever you'd like to bring would be great. I'll be bringing a quinoa casserole with venison.

My guest is my daughter who is 11. Am I expected to pay $5.00 for her?

    March 7, 2013

    • Joy

$5 per person or per family is a suggestion only. I don't think the box on the form we use to create the events lets us add that text. Whatever contribution you would like to make is deeply appreciated.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
