I grind grain daily in my Magic Bullet and that works fine for me for that purpose but it makes a terrible juicer.  I have been thinking of a ninja 1100 or 1200 ... I had no idea there were so many models till I went on line and read reviews .. at Costco they had one for $43 but foolish me ... I didn't buy it and now they don't carry it ... I asked if they had problems with it and didn't get a negative reply  but was told that if they weren't cheaper then they wouldn't carry it.  I have heard great reports of return policies at Costco.  My wife LOVES her Magic Bullet but thinks I love it more ... I use it because we have it.  I use it every morning to make a high protein raw egg smoothie and to grind 4 ounces of grain into flour ... always 2 ounces of flax and then two ounces of millet or oatmeal or titicale and at least one egg shell in with the grain for a calcium boost.   But to juice carrots ... disaster!  I want a base model high powered ninja but they would not fit under my upper cabinets ... they stand tall I read in a review.  I missed my $43 opportunity .... looks like 2x that and I will use up the Magic Bullet as $$$ are scarce.  My first co-pay on my shoulder operation last Monday was $500.  That hurts in more than one way.  Next Monday the stitches come out.  My wife is yelling at me non stop ... don't use that arm.  Use your sling,  If you drive I will take all of your car keys.

I'm curios ... who takes what vitamins and supplements and loves them?  I am taking 6000 units a day of Vitamin D,  some B-12, also my doctor (Kaiser Permanente) gives me monthly injections of B-12,   I consider these very important to me.  I am 65 and active.

a B- complex tablet  and a Costco mega-vitamin and Costco  CoQ10 and 2 fish oil capsules I take daily too.

I recently purchased greens First from www.greensfirst.com  A nurse lady friend in Arizona that I help every spring and fall with her garden started me on it and I think it gave me energy ... so much that when she said I could buy some at her wholesale price I bought 3 month's worth.  The order came damaged and one container missing FED-ex problem  - maybe - so I called FED Ex and left a message ... they never called me back and I called the distributor and they sent me more with a huge selection  of samples ... offered to send it next day air but I said why waste the money as I had two months supply on hand.  A few days later it was on my doorstep and lots of free samples ... more than the replaced product they shipped.  One batch of samples was Berry First and that I have been adding to my morning smoothie.  It supposedly is good for me but also is tasty.  I rarely buy anything like this.  I needed something as I have been dragging since I re-injured my arm back in April.  I started feeling like I really was over 65 for the first time ... and my dad tells me that at 88 he had to take a 2 hour break to finish painting his garage door.  I feel like a whimp.  I am hoping to meet other garden enthusiasts.  I want to keep a garden going all winter.

Hugs and my best wishes to all,
Bobby Ray

Angela,
Costco has demos periodically with the best prices. Just get the
standard one they're showing, with the addition of the dry container
if you want to grind your own grains.
We've had a Vitamix for more than 20 years (we're on our 3rd one) and
use it every day.
