Malibu Creek Crayfish Removal

Registration required!  To sign up go to:

***This is not a Hiking With Dean Event***

Help preserve Malibu Creek!  An invasive species of crayfish is wreaking havoc on local habitat.  The non-native crayfish eats native amphibians and fish and degrades the native ecosystem.  Mountains Restoration Trust, as part of its work throughout the Santa Monica Mountains, works every week when possible to restore Malibu Creek.

Give native fish larvae and native frog tadpoles a chance by removing the invasive red swamp crayfish from spawning pools located in Malibu Creek! Join MRT in trapping and removing this harmful critter. Great for kids, families, and scout groups!
