Welcome to the hiking group formally known as The Weekday Hikers. This group -- the original and pre-eminent weekday hiker's hiking group -- was originally created for anyone with a weekday to him/herself.

Our group is currently in a transition. My new work schedule prevents me from scheduling weekday hikes on a regular basis and so my hikes will be primarily on weekends.

But you can post a weekday hike!

I will be announcing a contest to come up with a new name for our group. Members will be eligible to win some great prizes for coming up with the best names, so join today and stay tuned.

We'll be meeting regularly on the weekends for hikes mostly around the Santa Monica Mountains. Once a month or so we'll leave our comfort zone and explore the trails of Orange County.

Beginners are welcome to join the group and attend our easy and beginner hikes. We also provide hike reports so that you can review your adventures when you get home. Please, no dogs unless otherwise indicated in hike description.
