Utah Non-Resident Concealed Permit for MD or VA residents

Getting ready to drive from state to state or vacation? How about getting a Utah non-resident concealed permit? This permit allows you reciprocity with more than 30 states across the nation. VA residents must have filed for their concealed carry permits, MD residents NEED NOT have a concealed carry permit. This class does NOT require any range time. There is no need to bring a firearm!

This class is 4 hours and covers the requirements for Utah law. Essentially, we assist in completing the application process which requires specific codes and information, we supply the fingerprint cards and take your fingerprints; and, we even mail out the package for you. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Don't forget to bring a picture ID and a receipt for filing of your concealed permit or permit card if you are a VA resident along with 2 passport photographs. The Utah application requires a fee of $51 upon filing, this fee is not included in the class tuition. Feel free to bring a friend, spouse, or partner for the member price! This is a co-ed class!

Concealed Firearms Reciprocity with Other States In accordance with U.C.A. [masked], Utah will honor a permit to carry a concealed firearm issued by another state or county. Of the states below that have formalized reciprocity or recognition with Utah, there are some states that will only accept the Utah concealed firearm permit so long as the permit holder is a resident of Utah. It is the responsibility of all Utah concealed firearm permit holders to know and understand the applicable firearm laws of the states within which they plan to visit or venture. For information regarding firearm laws of other states, please contact the respective authority within that state.

Although there are many states that will recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit, the State of Utah has formal reciprocity (written agreement) with the following states:

Alabama Alaska Colorado Florida Georgia Louisiana Mississippi New Hampshire North Carolina North Dakota Ohio South Dakota Texas Virginia Washington State West Virginia

The following states recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit:

Arizona Arkansas Delaware Idaho Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Michigan Wisconsin Minnesota Missouri Montana Nebraska Oklahoma Pennsylvania Tennessee Vermont Wyoming

The following states DO NOT recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit:

California Connecticut Hawaii Illinois Maine Maryland Massachusetts Nevada New Jersey New Mexico New York Oregon Rhode Island South Carolina

Refer to map of reciprocity at:

A minimum of 3 members across all chapters is required to hold this class.

This is not a MD concealed permit. Many MD residents are getting the Utah permit in order to be able to carry in other states rather than NONE.
