National River Cleanup Day - Family Friendly Community Event

On Saturday, May 18th, the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter will join the City of Palo Alto Creek Connections Action Group and Acterra to clean up San Francisquito Creek in East Palo Alto.

Come meet some neighbors, learn about the creek, and help improve your local watershed!

This site is a clean up “hot spot” due to the high volume of trash found in around this stretch of creek. We hope to have as many helping hands as possible to show it some love!

It will be a fun, family-friendly event; all ages are welcome!

What:  National River Cleanup Day
When:  Saturday, May 18th, 9 AM - 12 PM (Feel free to join for as much or little as you are able!)
9 AM – Snacks and Registration
12 PM – Finish sorting and measuring
Where: Manhattan Ave at Woodland Ave, East Palo Alto
Who: You! Along with Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter, Acterra, and the City of Palo Alto.

Download waiver form at http://www.cleanacreek.org/volunteerinformation.asp and complete prior to arriving to expedite signing in.

Feel free to show your Sierra Club pride with hats, shirts, or buttons! We’ll also have extra buttons on hand as a show of thanks for your participation.  Brian Haberly will be the Sierra Club point person the day of the event.
