Keynote Speaker - Dr. Nina Robers. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Nina Roberts is an Associate Professor at San Francisco State University and Director of the Pacific Leadership Institute. Nina Roberts is a dynamic educator and respected leader. Her research is highly regarded in the areas of race/ethnicity, culture and natural resources.She is nationally recognized for her leadership on race/ethnicity, youth development, culture, and visitation to parks and public lands. Her talk at our 80th Anniversary is appropriate as we look ahead to our next 80 years, "Conservation and the Changing Face of America." (Full bio and Faculty webpage)
Master of Ceremonies - Senator Jerry Hill. Jerry Hill was elected to the California Senate in November 2012 and is a former mayor of the city of San Mateo, San Mateo County Board of Supervisor, and state Assemblymember. As a senator, he serves as the chair of the Senate's Democratic Caucus and the Environmental Quality Committee and the Energy. He also is a member of several other high-profile Senate committees including Biotechnology and Green Energy Jobs. Jerry Hill attended public schools, graduated from UC Berkeley and has a teaching credential from San Francisco State University. He and his wife live in San Mateo. (Full bio)
