San Carlos Belmont Group: Hike - Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge

The Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge comprises over 23,000 acres, and is thought to be the largest urban wildlife refuge in the country. Join us for an easy walk along the marshy shoreline; we will hike a portion of the preserve near Menlo Park, south of the Ravenswood Open Space Preserve. The easy and level paved trail has interpretive signs, and the area is managed to encourage waterfowl. Meet at 9:15 AM at the San Carlos Public Library parking lot to carpool. We will leave at 9:30 AM. Contact the leader, Gladwyn d’Souza, (650)[masked], [masked], for directions if you wish to meet at the trail head. RAIN CANCELS. Anyone interested to carpool from Palo Alto leaving at 9:30 am ? Lucy Stern community center or 101/Embarcadero would work well for me. My car will take another 3 adults easily.
