DAY HIKERS: Skyline Ridge Open Space, Approx 15 mi w/ 2,500 Ft. Elevation

Join us for a hike along the Skyline Ridge.  We haven't hiked this exact route before, only parts of it, but it maps out to be about 15 miles with around 2,500 ft of total elevation gain.

HIKE START TIME:  Meet at 8:30AM at the Skyline Ridge Open Space parking lot on Skyline just south of the Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection.

MAP:  http://goo.gl/ehWymq

NO HOST CAR POOL:  8AM Page Mill/280 Park & Ride.

LEADERS:   Barry and Rosemary Brisco ([masked])

Bring plenty of water and food for the day. We'll be in the shade for much of the hike so it may be cool.

**Contact leaders directly if you have not hiked with Day Hikers before.

** This is a Sierra Club hike and as such you will be required to sign a liability waiver.

The route for those with a trail map (see below): Cross Skyline to the Skid Road Trail -> Canyon Trail -> Table Mountain Trail -> cross road to Hickory Oaks Trail -> Long Ridge Road -> Peters Creek Trail -> Chestnut Trail -> Tree Farm Trail -> Fir Knoll Trail -> Skyline Ridge Open Space parking lot.

I believe it's the parking lot near Horseshoe Lake. The google maps is a good link, thank you:-)

Rosemary: The parking lot is the one that also leads up to the Russian Ridge/Ancient Oaks trails, right?

Thanks for pulling this together! Carol

No that's not the parking lot: Our lot is on the ocean side of Skyline and is farther down the road, southeast of that intersection.

I've had a few questions about the Skyline Ridge Open Space parking lot. Go to: http://www.openspace.org/preserves/pr_skyline_ridge.asp -- in the lower right hand corner is a link that says: Locate Preserve in Map - you have to accept the terms - and then you'll see a map with the park location.
