Fracking is probably the biggest threat to the environment in our lifetime. It is an extreme method of oil and gas exploration which uses a mix of toxic chemicals and consequently contaminates the water, air, and land wherever it takes place. Mostly unregulated, fracking has destroyed numerous communities throughout the country and now the issue may be in our own backyard. Come and learn more about fracking and the hazards that come with it!
Michael Thornton of Sierra Club California will present the facts, disclose the dangers, and make a case for a moratorium on fracking in California.
