Point Lobos State Park Hike

Level, Easy, Coast: There is $2 requested donation for walk in visitors. Bring: Bring lunch, water, and hiking boots. 6 miles of gently rolling trails on this scenic hike at Point Lobos State Park near Carmel. We will be walking along the ocean bluffs and through the forest at an easy pace. There should be plenty of wildlife in the water and in the air. Get to know the Peninsula Regional Group, Loma Prieta Chapter and Sierra Club. We will be meeting near the entrance station at 8:30 am. We need to park outside on Highway 1 in order to meet at the entrance. There is no parking lot inside near the entrance. Two car pool locations: No host 7:00 AM at Los Gatos Municipal Parking Lot (Highway 9 between University Ave & Santa Cruz Ave, behind Chase bank). Or hosted at 7:00 am at the McDonalds parking lot in the Gilroy outlets.

Is anyone going from Santa Cruz or somewhere near Hwy. 1? I can drive or pay for gas. I don't know what time I need to leave Santa Cruz to get to Pt. Lobos on time. Thank you. Cat

This looks like a beautiful hike… and I wish I could make it. Are there any hikes on Sunday?

    Hello fellow hikers,
Please note that the start time has been moved up to 8:30 and the carpool times have also moved up.
    Happy trails,

Note time change. Now 8:30 AM to get there before another meetup group meeting at same location. This will make parking easier.
