This meet is the regular pub social on the 4th Thursday (not the last Thursday when there are 5!) of every month, which now has pretty solid attendance and always with a good mix of regulars and first-timers, guys and girls. We also plan the occasional meal or other event (eg. clubbing, comedy, or the recent visit to see a play) thrown in in-between.
Incidentally, the group's first meeting was 3yrs ago on 27 September 2007. So happy 3rd birthday, and look how far it's grown! It has been a pleasure to watch the club grow and I've had many happy moments and lots of buzz from running it: With on-line membership heading towards 400 and growing faster than ever, the turn up at the monthly meetings consistently hits 10 (often several more). Meetup has added features and made it easier to manage groups, I've been publicising it in other bi communities and improving the site (comments welcome) - including our twitter account (londonbi)!
It is often commented by new-comers that the group is extremely friendly and welcoming. Long may that continue....
Finding O Bar
The O Bar is at 83-85 Wardour St, right on the corner of Brewer St and Wardour Street, near Leicester Square / Piccadilly Circus. Its opposite the end of Old Compton St. furthest away from Charing Cross Rd and Leicester Square tube. I try to have a printed out meetup logo with me too (half A4) on the table/nearby and I am easily recognisable from my profile photo (I'm also 6' so look for a tall guy). Don't be afraid to ask groups if they're the meetup group or call me to check where we are, or hang around a bit if you're early. We have reserved tables from around 7.30pm upstairs in the clubroom.
Log in to Meetup with your Facebook account.
Are you going to wear purple to celebrate bisexuality day on 23rd too? Also birthday of some other bi groups I see (Manchester's 16th!)
So, I wrote "membership 'heading towards 400'" for this meet when I edited it a while ago.. We'll be at 500 online members before I know it (with a fair few more regular active members too, I hope)!
