We were approached by a researcher for SkyLiving this week who wanted to come to talk to people at the picnic. Not wanting our members to be ambushed at short notice, we have agreed to post an invite for anyone who wishes to talk to them to meet for drinks. If nobody responds we will let them know and cancel the event. The following is what they wish to discuss:
As discussed the documentary we are making is going to be broadcast on Sky Living. It is part of a series of 6 programmes which will look at relationships and the series is due to be aired from the beginning of November onwards.
The documentary we are making will focus on couples where one partner identifies as bisexual, lesbian, gay or is in the process of exploring their sexuality, and they are managing this within their relationship. Our film will feature 3 or 4 couples talking about their lives in their own words. These relationships are often very underrepresented in mainstream media and we aim to make a film which will open viewers' eyes to the fact that loving relationships can take many forms.
If any of your members have the time to talk to me about this I'd be very grateful if you would pass on my phone number and email address to them. All conversations at this stage are purely for research purposes. They are entirely confidential and no one is under any obligation to be involved in the project. In addition, we would love to meet in person as you have suggested on Wednesday 20th August in Soho.
Please RSVP before the 19th so we can judge interest.
