Hi all,

Just a word of warning; this site is a wonderful place to meet new people but some are not who they say they are. Please do take care.

Unfortunately yes, it can happen. Just like any online way to meet people. You might have better than average confidence if you are more cautious with people who haven't been to any meets of the group. I'd say I would be happier to meet people who've turned up before (and rsvp'd regularly, because about a third of the brand-new members who rsvp never show up so look for more regular people - though I don't mark them as no-shows for the standard large bar-social events that aren't per-person booked seats).
