Hey fellow Urubu dancers, thank you for making the Drum Mantra night so beautiful and amazing. I especially loved the energy and openness of everyone, you made our 30th celebration perfect. To Seth and the band - the interaction you guys had together which reflected through the sound, made us feel like children again in South Africa, barefoot under the sun. It means so much to me that my best friend found you! You guys simply ROCK! Until next time, keep shining your light x PS. To Roy and Deborah - you guys are AWESOME! Thank you for the dance and the hugs xxx Lots and lots of love and light, Mich'ellin xxx

Beautiful music as always. Wish there was more time for simply dancing to it rather than all the warm ups and downs which are there to help people get in the mood as I feel simply builds expectations rather than loosens people up much. I preferred it when the warm up was about centering ourselves rather than group work.

The night was such that you could be swept up in a crecendo of drumbeats one minute then gliding around in the depths of a sensual sax solo the next. Like the best drumming gig, jazz cafe, moving meditation group, party and dancehall seamlessly woven into one into one! The drums, didge, flute were all amazing as was Seth's insightful guidance and the gong meditation which really sealed the evening with a stamp of magic. These events just get better and better and I am already looking forward to 9th Feburary for the rich experience of tantric trance dance, more fantastic music and Moonstone's beautiful uplifting vocals.

This was probably the best event that I've been to in the last year. The music was phenomenal, the evening was guided perfectly and the gong bath at the end was sublime. Thank you!

had a euphoric time. It was like the rave scene in Matrix 2...hundreds of people in a big old gothic church dancing till we were dripping with sweat, dancing till we felt magical, dancing till we felt we can fly. They had a live band of different kinds of drums, didgeridoo, saxophone, gongs, flute and vocals. They brought the energy up till we were screaming with ecstasy and down to soft sensuous sounds for flowing movements and intimacy.
At the end there is a Gong bath which swept me up into the sacred architecture of the church. We finished with a group meditation around candles and hugs.

Ecstatic dancing is good even for beginners and people who aren't fans of dancing as it starts off from a standing start and warm ups to get you in the mood. With no alcohol and egos its all about the fun! Seth - the guide, did an amazing job to hold the space and lead the event.

I'm sorry Seth I didn't manage to come due to my finances being short as recently I lost my job, but I'm definately interested in coming to the next one especially as you said I can come alone, as my friends do not have my interests in doing something different, especially the drumming I have always been interested since I watched a drum troupe of woman from Ramsgate years ago, it sounded very empowering since then I went on a course at the Horniman museum in Forest Hill and bought an African drum and now I would really like to learn how to beat it and listen to other professional persons. Thank you for your attentive responses hopefully sometime soon I can be apart of the fun and look forward to seeing you all best regards Gaynor x

    Dear dancers,
    Re: DRUM MANTRA
To make your event with us even better, we recommend you bring a few things:
    - Warm & comfortable clothes ideally in layers. In winter the church does get a bit cool at times.
    - A blanket for the gong bath. Gong master Eddy Sayer will be rounding off the evening with his amazing Gongs.
So please bring a warm blanket with you to stay warm & cosy during.the stillness stage.
    - and of course a bottle of water

Looking forward to an amazing evening of live music and celebration with you all!
    Love
    Seth xxx
