Greenwich Lazy Sunday Late Summer Pub Crawl
We're going to take advantage of the warm weather while it lasts and take a lazy pub crawl around Greenwich with 60 or so of our closest friends!
This pub crawl takes us all around the Greenwich area of London. London is in reality lots of historic villages that have been gobbled up into Greater London over the course of time and Greenwich really reflects this by still retaining its local village feel.
The pub crawl will tour through Greenwich market, past the husk of the Cutty Sark, through the gardens of the Maritime Museum and along the way make stops in 10 great historic pubs.
I'm going to post the specific details of the pub tour and my mobile (in case you wish to join us after 12:00 Noon) nearer to the time. RSVP bellow;
Bring your brolly, as it is rain or shine!
Sunday Late Summer Pub Crawl in Greenwich THIS SUNDAY
The Rules:
We stop in each pub for one drink and when one of the organisers blows the whistle its time to press on. Like any good pub crawl we will loose people along the way and gain others!
Please print this email out and take it with you. With over 60 people coming along to the pub crawl it should be no problem tracking us down, if you should decide to come late or wander off.
Look out for the guy in the brown cowboy hat!
The Route:
St Christophers Inn
189 Greenwich High Road
London, SE10 8JA
We kick off the pub crawl at St Christophers Inn which is just outside and to the left the Greenwich Rail and DLR Station. Look for the guy in the brown cowboy hat. We'll be there till about 1:00 so look out for us, we'll just about surely be the only people in there!
The Auctioneer
217 Greenwich High Rd
Greenwich, London, SE10 8NB
Next we go to The Auctioneer for a quick round. Great classic modern cheap and cheerful public house.
The Rivington
178 Greenwich High Rd
London, SE10 8NN
Next we go a bit posh with The Rivington Bar. Rivington Greenwich is part of the Greenwich Picture House building. There is one of the famous Greenwich open air markets next door.
Nice place to stop for lunch if you have deep pockets. Those having their lunch here can rejoin us from 3:30 at The Mitre Pub
The Alamo
285 Greenwich High Rd
London, SE10 8NB
We stop for lunch at The Alamo "Texican Cantina & Cocktail Bar" which serves familiar Mexican tanquiria fare like burritos and quesadillas which runs from £3.50~£5.00.
Any overspill of people, if our pub crawl is too large for The Alamo can eat at the Organics Tapas across the street. We'll all meet at "The Mitre" after we have lunch
The Mitre Pub
291 Greenwich High Rd
London, SE10 8NA
Famous for being the hang out of Squeeze before they struck it big (who's Squeeze..Huh?). This pub is also a Grade 2 listed historic coach pub.
We'll take it easy at The Mitre and allow everyone who is finish their lunch to rejoin us. There is a fantastic outdoor beer garden in the back. We'll make our way from there around 4:00
Coach and Horses
13 Greenwich Market

The C & H Public house is actually inside the world famous Greenwich Market. Plenty of "outdoor" benches and good cask ales beneath the covered awning.
Kings Arms
16 King William Walk
Greenwich, London, SE10 9JH
We'll make our way out of the market, past market stalls and bakeries, past the recently destroyed, god awful, Powder Monkey to the Kings Arms public house. Another great historic Pub with a nice back garden and fireplace (so were covered whatever the weather!) and hanging flower baskets.
Greenwich Park Bar & Grill
King William Walk
Greenwich, London, SE10 9JY
We edge our way closer to the park with The Greenwich Park Bar & Grill which has massive open bay windows which overlooks Greenwich Park.
The Plume of Feathers
19 Park Vista
Greenwich, London, SE10 9LZ
We take a brief walk through Greenwich park itself. Past well kept and manicured lawns and gardens, past the Greenwich Observatory.
The Plume of Feathers is a great family owned public house with a terrific back garden and real pulled beer on tap. Proper Sunday lunches served if you are ready for dinner.
The Yaught/ Trafalgar Tavern Club
Park Row
Greenwich, SE10
Also it is a great place to have a pint (or whatever is your tipple) and watch the world go by across the River Thames. There is a massive life size statue of Admiral Nelson (He was only 5' 4!). Rub Admiral Nelsons belly for good luck!
The Cutty Sark Tavern
4-7 Ballast Quay
Greenwich, London, SE10 9PD
Bonus Pub:
The Gypsy Moth
60 Greenwich Church Street
Greenwich, London, SE10 9BL
