Re: [lsug] The Dojo

Hi,

Are people OK with sbt + vi/emacs/nano? If so I can provide shells/vms with working build systems.

We could also look at bundling the sbt jar and script with the project to reduce any setup times.

Hi,

I enjoyed it a lot, but it does seem that getting sbt set up is in general a pain :(

Other than providing some kind of pre-configured virtual machine (maybe using virtual box as its free and multi-platform) I'm not sure what the best way of solving that is?

I did also try and set up my machine before I arrived but it seems that the docs at https://www.assembla.com/spaces/lsug-dojo/wiki/Environment_setup are out of date? (Tells you to download the wrong git repo for a start)

But even with the environment challenges, it was still interesting!

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Everyone.
It was awesome to see so many of you yesterday at the Dojo. It was the
biggest Scala Dojo I ever took part in (26 people!).
I hope you had at least as much fun as I did, which is a lot. :)

Please push the code you wrote or send it to me.
We had issues with SBT not generating IntelliJ module / project files
correctly. Since my time is limited, I challenge you to find a
solution (hopefully one that doesn't require everyone to install
sbt-idea in their home directories, but maybe it's the only one) and
push it.
Couple of people asked why we are using Assembla and not GitHub as our
Git hosting, since everyone's on GitHub. I created a poll, so you can
decide where our code should live:

Again I hope you had lots of fun and learned things too.
