Hi Andy,
Hope you're well!

I don't know if there's a talk in this, but I wrote a blog on an easy way to do CRUD in Lift.

Here's the blog post:

Here's the running code:

Possibly suitable for a joint talk with others? What do you think - is it suitable?

Hoping to get along tonight, so maybe see you there?

Hi All

It would be great if we could find some talks/speakers for the new year. Are you interested?

The talks can be a work experience (this is how we are using Scala at work) and a great way of letting everyone know a great company you work for because they let you use Scala. Or you work on or interested an open source project that you would like to demonstrate to the whole community and a great way to get more people to help you with the project.
This could be on anything in the Scala ecosystem from akka/play2 to testing/functional coding and anything in-between

While Scala evening is 60-90 minutes normally the 2nd Wednesday of the month this can be changed to another evening that is more convenient.  And if you don't want to do a whole evening then we could join 2 or 3 smaller talk, or have lightning talks to start the evening.

If you want to give a talk, or just have an idea for something, then please get in touch  [address removed]

ps: I would also be interested in what type of subject people are interested in. If we have requests then we may be able to convince somebody with knowledge to give a presentation.

Please Note: If you hit "REPLY", your message will be sent to everyone on this mailing list ([address removed])
