What was your first programming language?

BBC Basic or possibly Z80 machine code assembled by hand!

What challenges are you looking to solve with search technology?

Closed source solutions are pricey, inflexible, hard to customise, slow and innacurate. OSSS has a real opportunity to be not just an alternative, but *better*.

Do you have a particular search technology that you consider "home turf"?

Yes - Flax ( based on Xapian

I met René and Richard at the last pub meet and I'm generally interested in meeting with anyone working in open source search.
