What was your first programming language?

If you count academic programming it was a vaguely respectable C++, although tragically my first commercial programming was in VBScript.

What challenges are you looking to solve with search technology?

At the moment mostly retrieval of relevant content in painless ways. Searching without searching.

Do you have a particular search technology that you consider "home turf"?

I do... and perhaps unexpectedly it's Javascript
