Guru Program: UX/UI, Design & Branding #TMUguru

This session is part of the TechMeetups Guru Program, a practical 3 month educational and mentoring course to kick-start your Startup. You can choose to attend just this session by booking here, or participate in the full course to receive additional support and mentoring for your company from our Gurus – find out more here.

With so much competition online, providing a great user experience has never been more important for a startup. Not everyone will have a UX specialist on board from the very beginning, but understanding how to make your app and site user-friendly can be done by anyone, if they know how.

Your site should be accessible and attractive technically as well as visually to your potential customers, which is why the second part of this session focuses on design and branding, something we believe you should think about early on and continue to iterate as your marketing activities provide you with informative data.

During this session our Gurus will help you understand how your vision can become a great product that people love to use again and again, resulting in the creation of a repeatable sales process – an essential step in scaling your operations.

I won't be able to join tomorrow as I will be in Newcastle for work, but I would still love to hear from anybody who may be able to help me in what I'm looking for. I have a recently started business centered around some specific concepts for mobile applications I'd like to bring to market. I recently completed development of an MVP product that I'm looking to use to look for investment. Although the MVP itself is not in a state that can be published, I've used the technology that was build for it, to quickly bring together a small trial application that has just been released - a very simple guide to the British Museum for Android machines. Although this trial does not directly relate to the MVP, I want to use it as a proof of our capability to bring something to market, and to build revenue through it to increase our credibility. I'm looking for advice and expertise on how to best get people to try it out and get more downloads. Anybody with experience or tips, please contact me.
