Code & Coffee (Central London)

Code & Coffee is a cool meeting for those who like coffee and love writing code. The idea is simple. Just come along and you may find other developers writing some code before going to work while drinking some coffee and/or having breakfast.

This is a great opportunity to:

• meet other cool software craftsmen

• work on pet or open source projects

• pair with someone else on whatever you like (katas, koans, etc)

• ask someone to join or help you with your own project

• have a face-to-face meeting with your mentor or mentee

• have a nice chat over coffee/breakfast

There is no agenda. Come along, bring your laptop, meet other developers, write some code (if you want) and have a coffee. There is no start or finish time but you will be more likely to find someone there between 7:15 to 9am.

The venue (Starbucks at the corner between Oxford Street and Soho Street) opens at 7am, and usually we sit by the big square table downstairs.

Hello all! Sorry for being late! I got called up early in the office. I will make up next time. Sorry again!

So I guess none of the other "attending" people are coming, seeing as I'm here, and have been for half an hour and I'm the only coder here..?

S'ok, I've got stuff to do, but I come in from Sevenoaks, so getting here means a really early morning for me - it would be great if people could change their RSVP the day before so I can work out whether it's worth my while getting up so early...

    Thanks :-)

I'm sorry to hear that Oliver. I had some kind of emergency yesterday and went to bed at 1am - could have never made it on time. In two weeks I'll be there - and I'll send a reminder before next meetup to tell people to RSVP no if they're not around.

No worries Emanuele; I got your mail / update that you could not make it, but checking the RSVPs thought it was still well worth coming... Thanks anyway - hope you are ok!

I'm really sorry but I won't be able to make it tomorrow morning. We usually sit at the big square table downstairs in Starbucks, so there's where it will be more likely to find people. Have a good time and see you in two weeks time.

Hi Emanuele, I am interested in attending a coffe and code event, but since I noticed there are two events of this kind, and very few people joined, I would suggest both meetings are merged.

Hi Javier and thanks for your suggestion. We regularly review code and coffee attendance and we tune the meetings accordingly. If this will regularly happen, there's a chance events will be merged, although these happen in different areas of London to allow people working in different areas to attend. Feel free to join any of the events for now.
