Evening Code and Coffee / Craft Beer

Every fortnight we meet for coffee, code, craft beer, and great food.

This is a great opportunity to:

•   meet fellow software crafters

•   pair on katas, koans, etc.

•   work on pet or open source projects

•   meet with (or find) your mentor or mentee

•   chat over coffee and beer

We'll be meeting in "Look mum no hands!", a laptop friendly cafe/bar that's open until 10pm, and sells great coffee, excellent beers, and some tasty food.
They also repair bikes and hang them from the ceiling like chandeliers, because why not?

I'll be a bit late. I thought the place was close to a tube station but apparently I can get there only through buses from Waterloo Station.

If we go to a pub, it can be noisier and there is often less space to code.
The slaughtered lamb is close to LMNH and has good food, but it will likely become more of a
    "beer and talk about code".
I'm afraid I'm really busy today and don't have time to find a more coffee shop style venue.
Unless I hear a cry of protest, or a better alternative, I suggest we go to the slaughtered lamb.

Could host you at TechHub but think to late to get all the information out.

Hey guys,it will be the first meeting for me today. Just entered a few days ago into the group. Can someone tell me what the meeting consists of?How can I recognise you? Shall I bring my laptop with me? Thank you and hopefully I will introduce myself to you later at the venue.

The format is we all turn up and find someone to work with or talk to. Most people bring a laptop, and it is recommended, though tonight we are moving to the pub because of tour de france, so it may not be as easy to work.
Look forward to seeing you later

It has been pointed out to me (thanks Avizer!) that Look Mum No Hands will be rammed today because of the Tour de France.

    Where should we meet instead?

If I don't hear any good ideas by 2pm I'll pick a nearby pub.

You realise that LMNH is going to be stuffed to the rafters watching the TdF summary for the next three weeks?

    July 6, 2014

    • Arnau O.

Indeed. At least for today (at 4pm), there wasn't a single free seat inside. At 7.30 it might be less crowded, though.

Good point! I hadn't considered that. Alternate venue suggestions?
