Mudchute Wild food and medicine walk - Autumn roots and fruits

A fantastic venue for our latest sojourn around London, discovering its best kept wild food secrets. Mudchute park, in the heart of the Isle of Dogs in London, has lots to explore, offering some superb wild foods and medicines....if you know where to look and what to look for!

For a taste of what to expect, please take time to have a look at my bite-size foraging videos on as well as perusing through my micro blog on

Join your host Christopher Hope as  once again we reveal the abundance of useful wild plants that are literally growing all around us! This could be one of the best £20 you ever spend, because immediately afterwards you can save more than the same amount from your monthly food bills!

I bring you more than 15 years experience and many years of study and research into wild plants. For complete peace of mind, all my walks are covered by £2,000,000 public liability insurance.

But dont take my word for it...see what others are saying...

On the day we cover the legal and sustainability issues before embarking on a gentle stroll around the park. We dont ever actually walk very far as we spend most of our time with the plants! I will be able to introduce you to at least 20 really common and really useful wild foods and medicines available up and dwn the land.

It is a good idea to bring a camera and or notepad and pen, as well as protective clothing and sturdy footwear. I will have a number of wild foods to try, which will tickle your tastebuds and heighten your desire to sample more!

Concessionary spaces are available on all my walks and courses at 50% off. I operate on a trust basis, so if you can pay the full amount please do so. Also, if you are finacially abundant, then maybe think about paying someone less well off's booking fee!.

Under 16's can come half price, Under 12's for free. Dogs and small children are most welcome but please keep them well supervised at all times!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Happy foraging!

It was such a lovely afternoon, with my personal highlight being finding the wild asparagus for the first time!
