Spam sent from my email account: an apology

From: francesco

Dear all,

please disregard any message coming from my email address that does not have a meaningful subject and contains sentences such as:

"wow this is pretty intense check this out"
"wow give this a look"

The URL in the email is probably spam or a link to a trojan/virus. Please do not ever click on such links.

I obviously did not send you the message in question. It was probably sent by a virus that got hold of my account, hopefully only temporarily.

I have changed the password for my email account and cleared all cache, temp files, etc from Firefox. I do not know if this will prevent further abuse of my account. Time will tell.

Some research on the Internet revealed that this seems to be a known problem with Yahoo. Comments I have read in fora suggest that this issue has been known for more than five years, but Yahoo doesn't seem to care.
If the problem persists I will close down this account and move to another provider.

If you have had such a problem in the past or heard of effective solutions, I would like to hear from you.

Please accept my apologies.

Kind Regards,
