A warm welcome to you! We are about having a healthy lifestyle based on eating food the way we are naturally supposed to via a High Carb Low Fat Raw Vegan diet and also adhering to the rules of "natural hygiene". We are a group who attend cool events and activities, socialising and making new friends, sharing wonderfully tasting, raw whole food and recipes, supporting and learning from each other to help us live this awesome lifestyle and also helping each other to become the best we can both physically, mentally and spiritually through healthy nutrition. Above all, we are going to meet at lots of events, have lots of cool activities to go to and have lots of laughter and fun as well as make interesting new friends.
For those of you who do not know what 80 10 10 refers to, it refers to the 80/10/10 diet as written and expounded by Doug Graham in his book The 80/10/10 diet. The 80/10/10 is a diet ratio referring to the intake of 80% high carb, 10% protein, 10% fat in your diet. His ideas are not new (and have been around for decades) but his book written in recent times will show you how to begin and maintain a healthy raw food diet as well as you living a healthy lifestyle. He and many optimum health educators recommend that optimum health can be achieved by a high carb and low fat intake through eating mostly fruits as well as vegetables and other raw foods aided by following a healthy lifestyle. It all makes sense and incredible results can be achieved. So much so, that celebrities and athletes as well as people with debilitating or life threatening illnesses are turning to the 80/10/10 lifestyle and diet to achieve optimum fitness or using the diet as a natural cure. Just eating what we are naturally designed to eat leads to amazing changes both physically and mentally. Although Doug Graham has been discredited personally due to his personality flaws and practices, his book is still the leading book in explaining the diet and lifestyle. Along with his book and those of health educators like Don Bennett (Health101.org), they tell us how to avoid disease, illness and achieve optimum health.
