London Bloggers Meetup - The PR Edition

It's time for another London Bloggers Meetup and this is one you won't want to miss. If you’ve ever wondered about the world of PR and how, as a blogger, you should be working with PR agencies then this is the event for you.
Alternatively, if you’ve already been contacted by PR agencies pitching products or competitions, you might like to come along and share your experiences.

Good meeting. Nothing changes but the names: journalist ... someone who writes a journal; blogger ... someone who write a web log; PR someone who helps someone else write and publish their story (sometimes well, sometimes badly). Thanks ... great evening

MarcInteresting discussion tho it did seem as though everyone was agreeing on the obvious. perhaps did highlight how some people assume PR is the same as Advertising.

Jonathan BuckleyGreat fun to meet people who are trying all sorts of different things. Would say that bloggers (people who write web logs) are really just a modern version of journalists (who used to write/ write for journals. PRs, well I've been there and it can be a god-forsaken task. Good PRs (people who help people and organisations express themselves and support journalists by researching good stories for them to develop. :)
