Thanks to the organizers and both excellent speakers.

Found them both very interesting and good to see two very different perspectives.

Good to meet a few fellow noobs too - some really cool people.

I was encouraged that there was quite a lot of discussion around YouTube as I am a big YouTube nerd. If anyone is struggling with anything on YouTube feel free to reach out here and I'll try to pick up any questions or you can ask me directly here - http://www.faqtube.tv/ask-youtube-question/

A session on using YouTube sounds like a great idea Alice. I'll get something setup soon.

Great thanks - I'll look forward to it.

As always, a great evening full of experienced bloggers ready to share their knowledge. Really handy and inspiring! Have put my notes online if anyone missed out or didn't catch all of the advice: http://www.cavatica.co.uk/cavatica/blogging-tips/what-you-missed-at-the-london-bloggers-meetup-blogging-like-a-pro/

Really good notes. As a result of last night I've just made a start with Wordpress.

Great notes Charlotte, thanks for sharing them here.

      March 21, 2014

Was an awesome session. Two contrasting speakers but both interesting and inspiring. Glad I made it. Thanks Andy & Bernie.

Thanks Godwyns. Great to see you again.

Yeah the speakers were a bit full of it apparantly :)

    March 19, 2014

    • tikichris

They were there to talk about their successes and how they were making money doing what they like. I think, given the subject matter, they were both straightforward and fairly modest.

      4 · March 19, 2014

    • Glen L.

I totally agree. I didn't get that vibe from either speaker. They were both frank about their successes and failures and I thought they actually came across as pretty down to earth. David, I wouldn't latch on to the one negative comment - it's not a representative opinion.

      2 · March 19, 2014

  • Alice P.

Interesting to hear from 2 speakers with very different approaches. What they had is common though is that they both work hard at those blogs full time to make money from them. That shouldn't have been a surprise, although it would have been nice to think there was some magic fix to get rich quick! Dream on Alice and keep grafting!

    1 · March 19, 2014

  • Maninder B.

I attended this event because I was unsure about whether I wanted to create a blog. After listening to the guest speakers and chatting with some of the group members, I have decided that it is something I definitely will do soon. This decision was made easier after the unknown was demystified, so I guess the meeting did exactly what it was supposed to and I will most definitely be attending again.

    1 · March 19, 2014

  • Corset & D.

Andy thanks for organising this. Not quite sure if the second speaker was there to help and inspire bloggers or to simply to show off to be honest. Better next time I'm sure. I look forward to it

    March 18, 2014

    • Andy B.

Hi Corset & Diamonds, I personally feel both Julius and Shimelle where entertaining, interesting and inspiring speakers. They both shared a lot of valuable experience and ideas gained over many years of blogging and I thank them for that.

      March 19, 2014

    • Tom M.

I think it was inspirational to know that Julius was sat in our seat just a few years ago and is now seeing such success.

Good meeting, good ideas and a good group of people.

    1 · March 19, 2014

Thank you. I really enjoyed the Meetup. Both speakers were generous with great money making advice. Inspiring to hear about their journeys. Met some great people too. Awesome!

Engaging presentations and surprisingly smart people in the audience to connect with. Really enjoyed it.

    March 18, 2014

I'm pleased to hear that Raz, it was a great crowd of smart people. I'm looking forward to reading the new blogs people have promised to start after being inspired by our guests and speakers last night.

It's not you that should be apologising. It wasn't my cup of tea to be honest with you, found it to bit a bit boring. Especially waiting for an hour for it to start.

      March 18, 2014

Though if you look on the schedule, they did say that the talks would start at 7:30.

Hey guys, sorry I missed this. I have a blog http://www.becomemorethanacorporatewhore.com I also have a course which you will find on the site which shows you how you can make money online with Kindle publishing. Hope to see you at the next meetup!

  • tikichris

Not sure why people are complaining and dissing speakers or how much pizzazz they were expecting from a presentation about earning income from blogging. I thought it was useful and interesting to hear two very different accounts about how two very different individuals make a living via their blogs. Also the mingle time at the beginning was great for chatting and networking and accommodating to folks coming other obligations across town.

Im curious as to what the mix of bloggers in this group?

Is it dominated by people running one particular type of blog: - Revenue focused blogs (affiliate, ads etc)?
    - Running company marketing blogs?
    - News Blogs?
    - Hobby Blogs?

    March 12, 2014

    • Andy B.

Hi Daniel, our group is made up of people blogging about everything and anything, from food and travel, to beauty and fashion, blogging about blogging and everything in between. Andy
