This month we'll be looking at the future of blogging, covering topics such as:

* new monetisation tactics,
* sourcing original content,
* using new social media platforms,
* what’s new with Wordpress and other platforms

We're being hosted by PR agency Fishburn Hedges in their plush Holborn offices where crucially they have a supply of Peroni beer for us all to enjoy.

Your speakers this month are:

Dylan Lowe from The Travelling Editor

Gigi from In The Powder Room

John Read from BlueChives

The talks will kick-off at 7.30pm, so don't be late.

Not content with free beer and a great line-up of speakers, we also have a prize draw courtesy of Fishburn Hedges and there fantastic client. Enter to be in with a chance of winning:

  • 3 day car in the UK
  • Selection of Nintendo Wii and 3DS games
  • lastminute.com voucher
  • A Crock Pot (the original slow cooker)
  • A bottle of Balvenie Whiskey

To enter the prize draw, simply tweet that you've arrived with the hashtag #LBM, or check-in on foursquare and help us collect the swarm badge. Simples.

Don't worry if your name isn't drawn out of the hat, there will also be some goodie bags to go around too, so everyone's a winner!

Thanks,

Andy

    It was such an inspiring event! I enjoyed every bits of it. The event host, the olive oil, the speeches, the experience, the PEOPLE! I can't help posting it on my blog http://themarketingfools.poster... Thanks so much again!

    It was really interesting to hear the speakers, who all had different things to offer in terms of blogger perspectives.

    Great to catch up with everyone, but I'm afraid I didn't think much if the speakers: they only knew about their small area, and didn't really talk about the future.

    I felt that the event description didn't really match the content. I was expecting more open advice on how to source original content & monetize your site. Instead the talks were brief advertising spots for existing bloggers with little consideration for the wider topic. For me it was not the best use of time.

    Very good and thought-provoking, with some useful tips. Great to be able to chat with fellow bloggers - we're all learning form each other.

    Interesting split between those who saw blogging as a way to make money and those who were more interested it it as a platform for their ideas - who I think were in a slight majority. Of course the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

    My first meeting and it was interesting. It's taken me ages to research the best method for me before I started my blog with different opinions, so I wish I'd encountered this group much sooner.

    One of the best Meet Up's yet! The balance of "tech" vs "how to" was great. The conversation on "how to monetise your blog was realistic too. As always the people were rocking!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
