Hark the Herald Angels Blog

  • Dec 9, 2008 · 7:30 PM

Tis the season to be jolly and it’s also time for another London Bloggers Meetup. What’s more it’s the Christmas party edition!! We’ve got a fantastic sponsor on board to help us all with a free glass of Christmas cheer. That’s right, our good friend Robert McIntosh of wine blog,
wineconversation.com has decided to give everyone a wine tasting session to introduce some fantastic wines from wineries ... with blogs of course. Along with a tasting session, he’ll take a brief look at the benefits that blogging has brought to these wineries and maybe get some advice on wines for Christmas. Of course, these meetups aren’t just about drinking wine, so those with a thirst will enjoy a free beer and soft drink too (Robert’s providing a good but limited tab, so don’t be too late!). Along with all this wine related adventure, there will be the usual social and engaging group of bloggers just catching up about the wonderful world of the blogosphere. What more could you ask for..? Hope to see you all on the 9th. Don’t forget to save your place by RSVP’ing as soon as possible! Cheers, Andy

Robert McIntosh and myself had an interesting discussion during the wine tasting on the connection between the worlds of wine, beer and cider.

I've posted our conclusions, along with a proposed social event.

Great evening, and plenty of decent wine - thanks to Robert. Though I only got round to tasting all the reds.

Another great one. I had a good laugh, and sampled some really tasty wines. Just the right mix of presentation and socialising. Thanks again for organising, Andy.

I can't believe this month's meetup filled up so quickly again.. Remember guys, it is possible to join the waiting list online and you'll then automatically recieve a place as and when one frees up!! (much better than emailing me!)

Looking forward to it. I'm having wines sent in for tasting from Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Germany - with interesting content from the bloggers themselves too!
