This should be a really fascinating meeting because Imran Ahmad, the author of 'Unimagined' has agreed to come along.

He previously attended another book group, which I am told went fabulously well. He has also given some great talks at literary festivals.

It should be a fun friendly discussion about growing up as a Muslim in Britain but no doubt many ideas and issues will be raised so please do come if you enjoy debate!

Unimagined - the book - is beguiling. The apparently naive narrative is in equal measures a beautifully rendered, humorous and heart-warming autobiography of youth, a deceptively deep look at the process of life, and a powerful indictment of social and religious intolerance. Meeting Imran at tongiht's group was a real pleasure, and also all the other members who attended, and thanks to Charlotte for organising this.
    •  This was my first meetup and a very enjoyable one at that. Was great to meet the author.
