Broadway Market & Conversation Late Lunch

An afternoon for explorers, thinkers and drinkers!

A few hours of engaging conversation over a brunch style menu in an up and coming part of the city famous for its Saturday Afternoon Market!

About Broadway Market:

Broadway Market is a MUST SEE and fantastic place to be on a Saturday afternoon.

"It's one of the oldest chartered markets in London and is currently having a revival. Broadway Market once a desolate street whose thriving market had diminished over the years is about to become a buzzing centre of the community. This vibrant market stocks an varied and eclectic mix of goods from local farmer, artists and crafts people in order to tempt the customer to sample and buy.

With shops, restaurants and galleries in abundance there really is something for everyone, be it local art, ceramics shops selling original pieces, shops selling a mixture of exciting and unusual clothes and gifts and furniture and lighting on sale the market and surrounding area offers unusual and stunning merchandise at affordable prices"

The Plan

Meet at 3pm (for those that want to amble around the market first) then head to Stories Bar at 4pm. Exact details will be sent to you a few days when you have confirmed your place. As usual, we'll have QI style irreverent conversation starters and topic menu based on the week's news over some food/drinks.  All of which are only suggestions and might be ditched to discuss the buzzing sites and sounds of the local market.

We usually spend a couple of hours over lunch, then head for a few drinks nearby - which of course is optional.

The Venue

Brunch is served all day and our own take on tapas will be available until late in the evening. Food is locally sourced wherever possible, with plenty of veggie and healthy options alongside more robust dishes like our signature thick-cut ham, egg and chips. Cocktails draw inspiration from New York and spiked juices to make those daytime meetings slide on by. There’s a great selection of local and craft beers alongside some more popular favourites. Wines are simple, well-priced and tasty and great coffees made by trained baristas complete the drinks list.

Stories is an open and laid-back space, beautifully designed. It’s light and airy during the day, cosy and intimate by night aimed at inspiring creativity through simplicity and friendliness. Come take a peek for yourself.

Nice middle class foodie market with two bands some clothing creams and clothes. Lines with cafes and pubs but no sight of the group which os sad. I walked the market 3 times checking pubs and cafes, Then I left and passing Kingsland market at Dalston which was definitely aimed at a lower income set. Thanks Rebecca for introducing me to the market.

Hello Terence, we're glad that you enjoyed the market it was great weather for it. Guests were asked to sign up for this event via the thinkingbob site to secure their spot, and would have been sent the meeting points and further instructions from there and not via meet-up Sorry for the confusion.
